The Karate Center

The Karate Center was opened in June 1999 by Master Gary Horner. With the help and support of his family and students, Master Horner gathered the remnants of their old studio, Seacrest Tang Soo Do, in Delray Beach Florida and established a full time Dojang (school) in Lake Worth, Florida.

The school has grown to over 200 members and continues to grow every day. Family memberships are the backbone of our student base. We encourage family members to participate in all Karate Center events.

At the Karate Center we believe that our students' training should not be limited to just traditional Tang Soo Do in the Dojang, but should include activities outside of our school as well. Our family atmosphere is supported by our annual non-karate events as well as traditional Tang Soo Do events. The family picnic, Halloween costume party, Christmas/Holiday Party, Annual Karate Camp, and Tournaments are just a few events that are open to and attended by our Karate Center family.

Our training is very traditional Korean Karate. Our students learn to maintain a balance between their physical, mental and spiritual training. Our goal is to produce Black Belt Leaders and Certified Instructors to insure the future of our Tang Soo Do heritage and traditions.
